01 · Start

Start a review, copy the invitation

Start a review copies the saved drawing into a new folder on the share, with a .ssreview file beside it. Copy invitation puts where it is on the clipboard to send; the others Join a review by opening that file.

Everyone's changes, in seconds

Each person writes only their own files, so nobody can write over anybody however the folder syncs. Changes reach the drawing within a few seconds with a line in the activity list, and the panel shows who is in the review and on which sheet - a click goes there. Undo steps only through your own changes.

Whoever started the review finishes it: every markup comes into the drawing it was started from, as one step to save or undo. Save As keeps a copy of your own along the way.

About shared review.

Do we need a cloud service for shared review?

No. A shared review is a folder everyone in it can reach: a network drive, or a cloud folder your team already syncs to each computer. Nothing leaves that folder.

Can two people overwrite each other?

No. Each person writes only their own files in the review folder. For each markup the latest change wins, and every computer arrives at the same result however the folder syncs.

How quickly do changes appear?

Within a few seconds. Each change shows on the drawing with a line in the activity list, such as "Mechanical added a cloud on M-301".
