Your drawingsstay yours.
ScaleSet PDF is a desktop app. Your drawings are opened, marked up and saved on your own computer, and they are never sent to ScaleSet. This page says exactly what is sent, and why.
What we keep
- Your account: your email address, the name you choose for your markups, the team you're on and your role in it. Sign-in itself is handled by Google's Firebase Authentication.
- Your seat: which computer holds it (its name, and an identifier derived one-way from Windows' machine ID; the machine ID itself never leaves your computer), when it last checked in, and the version of ScaleSet PDF it runs.
- Your team's licence: how many seats, and until when.
The app checks in every few minutes while it is open and online so that a licence, and a seat moving to another computer, take effect. A check-in carries only the items above.
What we never see
- Your drawings, their file names or where they are kept.
- Your markups, comments, measurements or anything else inside a drawing.
- How you use the app: no analytics, no telemetry.
Shared reviews happen through a folder you and your colleagues already share; nothing from them reaches ScaleSet. If you connect your own AI assistant, it talks to the app on your computer under your own plan; ScaleSet PDF calls no AI service itself.
Who sees your details
Your team's admins see the people on the team, which computer each is signed in on and when it last checked in. ScaleSet sees the same, to set up and support your licence. We don't sell or share it with anyone else. Team and seat records are kept in Google Cloud in Sydney; sign-in accounts are held by Firebase Authentication.
Removing your details
Your team admin can remove you from the team at any time, which ends your session. To have your account deleted, or for any privacy question, contact ScaleSet.
